Dorothea Mission's work in Namibia

The Namibia team is based in Windhoek, but holds outreaches throughtout this vast country. Although the spiritual needs are great, the local churches in many place have little understanding of the Gospel and therefore can sometimes hinder the work. Please pray for a greater spiritual hunger, better attendance of meetings, more invitations to minister and for the converts to be steadfast.

Apart from the general outreach work, one of the team members concentrates on child evangelism whilst another one has a specific burden for the unemployed men in Windhoek and seeks to share the Gospel with them. As Namibia is sparsely populated compared to the other countries where we work, the team often travels far distances for outreaches.

For the past number of years the team has regularly held outreaches in the North of the country amongst some of the less evangelised San and Kwangali people groups. It is a great joy to see some of these people, who are mainly illiterate, coming to faith in Christ.
