Dorothea Mission’s work in Mozambique

We have two teams working in Mozambique. The one team operates from Chokwe, about 230 km North of the capital city, Maputo. The other team operates from Tete, (North West – next to the Zambezi river).

This team consists of three workers with Evangelist. Daniel Chungwane as the field leader. They hold outreaches and also have the wonderful opportunity to join hands with World Relief who move from village to village. While they teach the people about medical care, hygiene, etc, our evangelists bring them the Gospel of Salvation.

This team consists of two workers. The field leader is Evangelist Peter Kalimambondo. This team, apart from evangelism, also strives to offer spiritual seminars to church leaders, since few of them had the opportunity to receive any theological training.

There is great physical and spiritual poverty in this devastated country - yet doors are wide open for the Gospel. Pray for true conversions during outreaches - attendance is overwhelming. Our workers are particularly in need of divine protection - circumstances are sometimes difficult.

We thank the Lord that both teams enjoy moral support from other missionaries.
